Great Fire of London 1666


The Great Fire of London occurred in 1666 and significantly changed the face of London. It was responsible for clearly the ground that allowed Christopher Wren to  place his stamp on London's churches. Wren was responsible for rebuilding 52 of them.Much of Wren's architecture still exists in London.

Recently David Best created a 120 meter replica of the city (pre-fire) which he placed on a couple of barges moored in the Thames. It looked like this:



Then this past Sunday he set it on fire. Here's a video.
